Job Description Are you an experienced Systems Engineer ready to tackle exciting challenges in the defence and marine sectors ? At ALTEN, you'll work on cutting-edge submarine systems , driving innovation and delivering solutions for mission-critical projects. Key Responsibilities: Deliver full-lifecycle systems engineering , working across the V-Model to develop, test, and validate advanced solutions. Define and manage system requirements , ensuring seamless alignment with project goals and performance criteria. Collaborate on subsystem integration for complex electronics systems in submarine platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve system-level challenges to meet demanding operational standards. Support testing and validation , ensuring systems perform reliably under challenging conditions. Location: Portsmouth , with a hybrid working model . Qualifications 5+ years of experience in systems engineering , particularly in defence or marine industries . Expertise in V-Model development and full lifecycle engineering . Strong understanding of electronics and experience with submarine systems or equivalent technologies. Sole British citizenship with eligibility for security clearance . Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment. Desirable Skills: Knowledge of mission-critical communications and intelligent systems . Experience in sectors such as defence, aerospace , nuclear , or other regulated industries. Familiarity with tools for requirements management and system modelling.
